in Newcomers' Community3 years ago

Hello everyone!

Today I am writing achievement 3 initiative by @crptokannon admin of the newcomers community. Before starting I want to thanks @vvarishayy who verify my achievement 2 and I am little upset about my achievement 2 task, because no one give a single upvote and I earn 0$ from that post.

I read The Complete Steemit Etiquette Guide (Revision 2.0) by @cryptotofiend and can understand the rules and regulation to write the post on steemit.

Plagiarism is type of crime that you steal or theft someone other's ideas, content, video, images, etc, without giving credit to that author whom you steal or theft the content. 1. Direct Plagiarism

When you copy the content word by word without quotation marks is called direct plagiarism. In this type of plagiarism you copy paste the other's content and add some own words and made a new content.

2. Self Plagiarism

In this plagiarism you can't steal or theft other's content but you copied your own previous work and content and paste it in new one. Some paragraph that you have wrote in previous post and same text you wrote in new one post then this type of plagiarism is called self plagiarism.

3. Accidental Plagiarism

In this plagiarism the author unintentionally used the text or words of other's writers and neglect to attribute it. Actually used the other's content unintentionally is called accidental plagiarism.

4. Paraphrasing

In paraphrasing plagiarism, a writer usually copies or takes a central idea or some essential points from someone else’s work. A write read the other's content and take idea and explain same idea with the using of synonyms and claim to their own.

5. Mosaic Plagiarism

This type of plagiarism is nearly similar to Paraphrasing plagiarism, In mosaic plagiarism the writer used different sources for same topics, and create a new content by using different sources. In this the writer used synonyms, paragraph arrangement and other's technique to show the original content, so it is difficult to detect.

We can avoid plagiarism by keeping some points which I described below....

  1. It’s a difficult task to create original content and avoid all of the types of plagiarism. Avoiding plagiarism is easy by using quotation marks in the text.
  2. Give proper credit to the original author through citation.
  3. Also, the writer can use the quotation marks whenever he is directly using a phrase from any other’s work.
  4. Try to change the voice of text, use active voice if the original writer used passive voice.
  5. Also Use plagiarism checker tool to detect the plagiarism. There are a lot of tools in the market, but try to use paid tool.
