A Small Salad from the Garden
It looks a lot greener than this photo, taken in the brighest midday sun, and most of the greenness is the pumpkin, which has about reached the limit of its little pot.
But, hey, we got a salad to go with lunch!
There are some raddishes, a pumpkin flower, some kind of a cress that they sell in the local market and self-set for us, and two tomatoes. I also used a tiny sprig of the rosemary which you can see on the left of the board in the top picture.
[EDIT] @theb0red1 has just commented that the cress is in fact purslane. It was lovely, and I will now eat it with renewed confidence.
And here it is with the egg-tofu that my wife has started making, and some of her pancakes. Most of the greens are the leaves of the raddishes, which because they were completely fresh were just about OK, even with zero dressing.
Bon Appétit
That "some kind of cress" looks like purslane to me! Good source of potassium, magnesium and vitamins C and A!
Yes! I've just googled the images and it looks exactly that. Thanks, I'll edit it into the post.
