Hi, My name is Amanda 😃
So, I did a video, I've never done a video, which is funny because I talk to myself a lot, so I felt like the camera was eavesdropping lol. My apologies for the quality. For even more information you can read down below 😊

I love when classical instruments do covers of metal songs. One in particular is a short piano cover of In Flames, it's actually quite BEAUTIFUL. It's not mine, I just found it on Youtube. credit to fischaug3 for whom the video is from

And now, to elaborate some more about myself:

So to start off, and get out of the way, something I think everyone should know because it makes me feel better and lowers my inhibitions. I am a HUGE procrastinator, a major hermit and homebody, and a functioning recovering hoarder (I might be over exaggerating being a hoarder, but I've been jokingly referred to one several times).

I mainly dwell in my underground lair (the basement of my home, which is actually quite lovely) and soak up useless information, create things, make messes, and ponder about endless possibilities with life and human existence. Then there's times I just binge on reading, watching videos created by others, and search amazon for things I probably won't buy.

In my responsible adult time I work with people with intellectual disabilities. I am a mother of an eight year old boy💗 who has ADHD, and also will be getting married late this year. 💘

🎨 I enjoy many different things. As mentioned I love art , any forms of art. I am mainly drawn to fantasy, steampunk, space, concept art, landscapes and fantasy landscapes, character design. I have been trying to get back into creating my own art which is a long process since I am a procrastinator. I have read that Da Vinci was also, so there may still be hope of being somewhat successful. I am dedicating this year to bettering myself, if by the end of the year I am dissatisfied I may pursue another route, we'll see. 🎨

I am trying to practice with traditional media and have also started working on digital art. So, I have a lot on my plate to learn and then I have technique to work on, on top of that.

Here's a little drawing I did to hang by my desk, I intend to make it a bigger piece, I have no rights to the original picture I used as reference, just to put that disclaimer out.

Art has taken me to different interests. I love tarot cards! The artwork is wonderful, as well as the idea of how to read them. Also Magic the Gathering, I have a decent collection. I have thought about trying to do some alters in the future. I don't play quite as much since I was throwing WAY too many funds out for them. It's a very addictive game! So, I keep my collection and play casually every so often. The artwork in MTG is amazing, I unfortunately have collected more cards for the artwork than I have for the abilities. I suppose prints would be cheaper but I wouldn't have enough wall space.

🎸 I also play guitar, and piano (keyboard). I don't know the piano very well, I can read music, so I learn a song I like and then forget about playing for months at a time. I like to keep my mind busy. 🎹 My poor son gets his attention problems from me obviously.

📺 Hmm, what else, television. Until my fiance and I moved in together, I never really watched television because I get too obsessed with shows. Now we have Netflix and it's been quite the inner battle. I think after a period of time binge watching things, I have found a balance.

Right now I'm watching Supernatural. I also like House, Once Upon a Time, and Bill Nye has some good episodes lol. Stranger Things, The Curse of Oak Island, Mr. Robot, and The Orville which I'm very behind on. Of course, a show I didn't think I would like, Rick and Morty is just beyond amazing. They must insert subliminal messages to draw people in because that's what it did.

I did a small fan art recreation of it when I got my new markers! Again I don't own the rights to this image, it's just fan art. Proud to say it was free handed using a reference.

🎮 Occasionally I play some video games on pc, however, being all over the place with hobbies, I don't play often. I like first person shooter games, am I good at them, hell no, but they are fun! I do well in campaigns, but against actual players, well, they are pretty good. I also occasionally play Rocksmith which is really fun.

💄 Also, of course, makeup, hair, nails,all of that good stuff, it's an art in itself, I love the video tutorials all over the web.

🎵 Music that I like ranges from metal to Mandy Moore honestly. I do prefer however, anything that has an electric guitar. Some of my favorite bands that I can listen to all day are Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Trivium, Nothing More, Starset, and so on. There are days where I change it up to 90's pop or Celine Dion. I usually have some form of music playing at all times.

But wait, there's MORE haha. ✍ I also love writing; articles, poetry, short stories, opinions, persuasions, and informative. I used to write a lot, I took a couple of freelance jobs doing articles. I thought maybe I would pursue writing but I don't know. It seems the better my life has gotten, the less creative I have become, which is ironic, but I think I would rather the better life if you know what I mean.

I've contemplated not posting anything because, I'm not a genius, or professional, I don't travel the world, I haven't accomplished much. I'm just me, maybe closer to a hippie than anything else. My mind goes where it finds comfort I suppose. I'm in a constant state of self-therapy, my head in the clouds so-to-speak. Everyone seems like accomplished straight shooters, but, I think there might be a place for me.

So, that's really about it. I am somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades, and definitely a master at none. I realized life is too short and I think I'm trying to fit more lifetimes into one, but it keeps me busy...not focused, but busy lol.

I'm hoping the new year helps me to get out of my shell just a little more. I feel the more I share, the better I get, at just about everything. It's nice to look back and see that you've escalated. I'm hoping that's what this year brings for me. The battle is against stagnation. Gotta keep on keepin' on : )

Oh, and I just want to mention some software for artist, it's called design doll, you can shape the character however you want to help with drawing accurate poses, it's pretty neat : ) Hehehe check out image below
