'Neem' as Natural Medicine! -Part#2

in #naturalmedicine5 years ago (edited)

Hello Wonderful Steemians!

Hope you are doing great!!

I am living in a country where more than half of the population still depends on different natural medicine. I have seen how much faith they have. The faith does not come in one day. We as a modern people lacks of this faith, you have to approve that. But if there is no positive result of different natural medicine, this much faith will never grew.

Natural medicine may sounds ancient and not that effective. But if you believe in this and have your patience you will get the good result. It's obviously not a over night magic but it will work for sure, if you apply it correctly and follow the way regularly.

I shared one of my natural remedy guide using 'Neem' before. Today I am sharing another one.

You will see many people still use 'Neem tree Miswak' to brush their teeth. They use the mini branches to make the miswak. If you don't know what is miswak you can read this- Miswak- Wikipedia

From childhood I have seen many people use Neem Miswak. It has some great health benefits.

The major one is it will help your teeth fight with germs and make your mouth free of bad breath.

Also it helps to whiten your teeth and prevent gum diseases. If you can continue using this you will get other benefits like fighting with cavities, strength in gum ie.

If you are not sure how to make Miswak, you can read this- 3 Ways to Use Miswak - wikiHow

You can use Neem tree brush also if you don't get Miswak. I have seen this on different super markets. But using a Miswak for only week is best to get the good result. You have to replace it after few days.

I have missed one of the major point- do we need to use any toothpaste or not with miswak? Thanks to @chesatochi for his question in the comment.

I did not see people use any toothpaste with miswak as it contains anti bacterial ingredients and it automatically reduces oral odor. But if you are not comfortable about the after result you can add any herbal toothpaste I think. I have seen people use toothpowder with it or even charcoal! If those are available you can give that a try.

As we are living in a city, it's not always possible to find Neem tree and make Miswak out of it. But as it's a popular culture here in my country so we get the ready made miswak in the markets.

I hope it helps a little bit. You can find the first part here- Neem as natural medicine!-Part#1

Much Love

Good to read about neem again bhai shaib. There was one saint in Bengal, in Mayapur on the Ganges river, who was called Nimai of Nadia because he was born under a Neem tree. He became Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. I have been to the temple that is now there at his birth place, by the Jalangi river.

LoL! Great to see your knowledge on history. I am actually from Bangladesh.
BTW you can call me sister not ,Bhai shaib,! 😁

Interesting, do you need toothpaste with it?

Oh! I miss that point. Let me edit it.
Nope you don't need to use paste with it. But you can add herbal toothpaste/ tooth powder if you want.
Thanks for asking! 😊

My pleasure, I might try this one day, who knows in the jungle. ;)

😀✌

Great writing apu, though in the modern era we are going away from natural medicine.

This came on my mind after seeing people using miswak in Ramadan. We are going away but on the other hand some of us still use and believe in natural medicine.
Thanks 😊
