yes @ackza has been talking about the need for Steem and crypto gift cards for Christmas time, imagine grandma's getting a Giftcard for Bitcoin or Steem or golos or even EOS erc20 tokens, but in a gift card form, with a redemption code that anyone can scratch off and redeem for actual tokens or maybe redeems a Steeminvite.com link for starting a steem account
A gift economy is a wonderful concept that, unfortunately, many are not able to comprehend due to the constant self-focus of endless profit and greed promoted within society.
The ability to easily give on Steemit was one of the primary aspects that brought me to the platform.
As the "sharing" level of consciousness becomes more common on planet Earth, more people will flock to this way of living and discern its power.

Thank you @d-pend, couldn't agree more. The power of the gift is great indeed but most of us are not used to that way of living. Been working with integrating gift economy in my life for a long time, hosting gift circles, gift shops and just giving without asking for anything in return. Now it's time to bring the spirit of the gift to the Steem blockchain which will surely make our community increasingly connected and resilient! :)
People who seek real advice always find a way to succeed. This is a formula for comments, and comments are an essential part of Steemit's success.
This is awesome man, I have tried and stalled with @steemfleamarket - the original givers marketplace. Not sure if giving is a thing on steemit. Hope this takes off though, because I'm a really strong believer in in the concept of giving to each other here on our blockchain and outside of it. So many copycats out there but this seems to be a neat proposition and has a strong backing from old-timers. All the best team!
