Traveling Over KUSHIYARA RIVER

in OCD4 years ago

Hello Steem community

Yesterday was really a very hectic day for me. I had to go for a long drive, to visit one of my relatives. Although I am really a very big fan of long drives, I enjoyed this trip quite a lot. Besides the rain that could have ruined the whole trip for me. But it didn't happen. Instead, the trip turned out very fruitful.

As I said above, I like this kind of long trips and this also acts as some refreshments and allows us to get away for a while from all these daily happenings. So I was going for an almost 70 km ride. The rain-delayed some time for me so lost that head start for the day. It was almost noon when I started the journey. I was going through Fenchuganj, Sylhet. And there is where I took some time to stop and introduce you to KushiYara River.

WELCOME TO KUSHIARA.png

The Kushiyara River

The Kushiyara River is a distributary river in Bangladesh and Assam, India. It forms on the India–Bangladesh border as a branch of the Barak River when the Barak separates into the Kushiyara and Surma. During the dry season, it can appear to dry up almost completely in a few places with the bulk of the load being carried subsurface.

While as I was crossing the bridge, I stooped there for a while and spend some time out there, enjoying the scenic beauty of it. And not to mention it was windy quite a lot. I still remember passing this The Kushiara river (a long time back memory) using ferries/boats. The ferry's experience was not that exciting at all. But the experience of boats was more than exciting lol. Some good old memories indeed.

During the rainy season, this calm river can turn into havoc creating natural disaster which flows outside of its path and ruins hundreds of villages along the pathway of its course. As it is a dry season the water was very low and it was as calm as you can expect.

As I was going I took some images while on the moving bike and stopped at some places to capture some of the scenes which were very much nice to look at. I hope you guys will like them as well.

Ok yeah, that is a moving shot and can be seen very much easily. I liked the vastness of nature and the endless, fields that seemed like the border was way far than you can see in the images.

The above image that I captured was when I was going down the bridge of Kushiara and saw these trees which were literally making the scenario a little more beautiful than usual.

Honestly speaking, I might be exaggerating little about this trip but come to think of it I am not really used to this environment. That is why whenever I get closer to nature, it is hard to resist thyself from making the best use of that time and enjoy it for the time being.

I returned to my house before sunset. I missed the sunset because of the damn weather. Like I said it was not very much friendly to me. But either way, it was nice meeting with the dear and loved ones of the family and got to spend some quality time with them. After all, the family does matter at all times!
