Street sightings ~ the Amish driving the horses with their carts and buggies around Town..
The old ways versus the new ways of transportation.
A young Amish farmer is driving his horse and cart on the street.
It is nice to see them peacefully trotting along the streets and highways. I guess I like the feeling that time is standing still.
Many Amish have settled on Prince Edward Island. Leaving Ontario and finding more cost efficient farms here.
They have bought up farms with dilapidated barns and rebuild and restored them.
I took this photo from the highway.
Plowing the fields the old ways.
Location: Prince Edward Island, Canada

Thanks @javigodfrey. Appreciate your visit.
Lovely photos Jo! I really like to see the Amish buggies also. Parts of Pennsylvania have some big Amish communities. We have Amish here at some of the farmers markets also and they are always so nice!
Thanks Dee! I don’t know any of them personally but some Amish have started a bakery and a country store where they sell quilts & other goods. I wouldn’t want to be wearing the women’s outfits in this hot weather.
You're welcome Jo!! I'm sure everything in there is great and me neither! ;)
