Using Plans to Achieve Goals
Once you have set a clear and very defined set of goals with a realistic time frame, it is important to also add a plan to follow in order to accomplish such goals.
In order to accomplish the three goals, I have set up, I have created a plan for each one with the time frame of ten months or until the end of the year. The plans, I have composed, are a bit undeveloped but are developed to the best of my knowledge at the moment and they might change and evolve at any moment during the process.
1- Get my weight down to 250 lbs
Currently, at 332.6 means I have to lose a total weight of 82.6 pounds in ten months in order to accomplish my goal. This can be divided to 8.26 lbs per month assuming that we get a fixed rate of weight loss which is impossible, however, provides us with a base to the changes that need to be made in order to fulfill my task.
I will be consuming 2010 calories of food per day because according to my calculated Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), this will allow me to lose 2 pounds per week. I will be doing meal prepping and taking into account macro nutrition. in addition to my calorie counting regime, I will also be going to the gym five days per week for a minimum of 45 minutes. During the first month, I will primarily be doing cardio workouts to increase my resistance and stamina.
Bi-monthly weight in (on the first of the month as well as the 15th)
2- Get my finances under control
Planning for business is a bit more complicated, because of all the external factor that comes into consideration. However, it still useful to have a feeling of what one expects to accomplish. I have set my goal to earn or sell 100 thousand dollars worth of merchandise or services before the end of the year. Heard me, friends here we are starting at zero so far. I will be focusing on gaining clients and promoting the two businesses which I feel more useful in which are photography and social media advertising. These are two hustles that provide me with independence and a creative outlet, both qualities that I highly appreciate in the self-employed lifestyle.
3-Become fluent in Italian
In order to learn this which will become my third language, I have decided to dedicate at least one hour every day of the week to a self-taught audiobook class or podcast. To make sure I'm improving I plan to reach out to a tutor for conversation once per month and if everything goal well, I plan to do a trip to Italy either at the end of this year or beginning of next year.
