Greetings and Salutations - #IntroduceYourself

Hello there! Glad to be part of your community.  

I hate pictures of myself, but here's one anyway.

My husband had heard of SteemIt through one of the crypto sites he was on, and I was intrigued by the idea. I figured this had to be a better place to share my writing and art than with the vapid and self-centered people I was encountering on Twitter and Facebook.

I am a multifaceted woman residing in Vancouver WA. I have a lot of fun with my varied talents, but I cannot claim to be master of any one of them. Nor do I feel I am capable of fitting inside a neat little label. I am simply myself.

My writing is paranormal romance/urban fantasy, as well as dark fantasy. After my first book was published, I went into the self-publishing world, because I figured if I had to do the lion's share of the marketing work, I would get the lion's share of the profits. Turns out marketing saps my soul, and I had a nervous breakdown and stopped writing for a while. But I'm getting back into it, and am looking forward to finding some new readers here. Maybe tips for how to get readers without whoring myself out too much.

Artistically, I used to do digital paintings, but now find myself having much more fun with a zentangle/mehndi style. It's much more enjoyable and relaxing, though I do love creating beautiful men.

I also make jewelry and hair clips from my parrots feathers.

My favorite book (other than my own, of course) is Green Eggs and Ham. I think it has valuable lessons everyone should learn. My favorite movie is Aliens, and my favorite band is Van Canto.

I'm also not much for talking about myself, which is why so many of my bios online are short and dumb. I will answer any questions put my way, though, and enjoy a good conversation.
