As you can see in this video, these "teenagers" are already quite able to independently produce food. See how she found something in the leaves and took it in the foot, and then holding it ate.
That is why it is impossible to withdraw chicks from the wild and their parents. Their parents are taught to behave correctly, to get food, build nests and so on. If they are not taught this, then they will not be able to survive.
