Backayard shed being built

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Good Morning friend,

Last week I bought all the materials for the shed I will get in my backyard. Yesterday I went to pick my wife's uncle. His name is Carlos. He is a great guy. After that busy day I had a great call with a friend of mine that is from OR. He was so happy that he made it to get his steemit account set up. His account name is @pdxlove and he already made his introduction post don't be shy and welcome him aboard. We enjoyed an hour call talking and explaining the basics of how steemit works. Few things here and there.

So back to the shed, here are a few pictures of the materials and the start of the project.

Bailey was is assistant.

So all this project thing got me thinking on our new steemian @pdxlove
After yesterday's call and today's project progress I was thinking in a way to help and guide new steemians get their growth faster. As you might know already I ran few programs to help new users and also @tuanis project works for my when I am a bit busy.

So I mentioned @pdxlove a few tips and advice. I guess he will do better than I did when I first started. I took me about 1 month of reading to get the basics on how steemit works.

I wanted to share a few things I've learned about steemit.

  • Be a good team player and share your love (votes and comments) with people that are also starting in this platform.
  • Create a very good first impression regarding your intro post (my first mistake)
  • Do not think much about the 'money' you are given small Steem Power at the beginning and that's a good start. Try to see people's posts , comments and do not think twice to hit the upvote button even though it might be small, people will look at your posts and comments.
  • Eventually you will grow, but never forget about the new users they need help, guidance.
  • Main goal should be to create long term relationships, help users and educate yourself in cryptos and blockchain.
  • Invest as much as possible in steem power growth to be able to get bigger rewards and share them with your followes.

Weekly programs I run

Projects to consider supporting / joining.

If you are able to create a solid foundation your project should stand strong for a long time. That's my idea on this tips and also shed project I hope you find this useful.

Enjoy and share love!

Edit: Added @helpie I forgot about this project when I created the post (is just a newer project I forgot to mention) daily trivia and a great source of information regarding steemit.

Gracias señor Serrano. ¡Usted es bueno mentor!
Eso es mucho concreto. Eso es un trabajo duro para tío Carlos.

Thanks Mr. Serrano. You are a great mentor!
That’s s lot of concrete. That’s hard work for uncle Carlos!

What is he using to grade the base? Does he pour the concrete directly on the ground or is there a rock base? I’m curious to see how far he got after today!

He will add a thick rock layer just to drain a little bit
