Good evening Steemit community. Somewhere to be free

Hi everyone, I joined Steemit on a recommendation from a good friend of mine. I have never been one to try and belong or share too much of myself. I don't like the modern idea of social media in the context of Facebook or Twitter but the idea of a community with a positive attitude and a sense of global belonging really appealed to me. I have spent a while looking through posts and blogs and I see a a place where I can share ideas, thoughts, inspiration and friendliness. I will share some thoughts from time to time about personal growth, country walking, my dog Oscar and whatever comes to mind. I thank you for taking the time to read this and look forward to following many interesting threads and blogs moving forward. Gary
