First of all, before dealing with someone, you should check their Rating Point, 99% Success Rate, and whether they have a minimum of $2000+ Trading Complete, whether they are Verified Seller, whether there is a yellow color sign next to their name, if everything is fine, then do the transaction.
-2. If a seller says to go outside of Binance to buy dollars, if he says that he will increase the rate per dollar more than the P2P rate, never do this, he will not take money from you and send you dollars, no matter how much you complain to Binance, it is useless.
-3. Lately the biggest problem is with the payment number.
When you ask them for the Payment Number, then the number that the agent will give you must first check whether it is the same with the Wallet Payment Number.
If the wallet payment number does not match the number given in the inbox, then do not do the transaction with it, if the agent says that their wallet number has an account problem or gives various excuses, then skip it.
Because Binance will never take responsibility for these issues.

There are so many issues on peer-to-peer transactions because accounts are getting frozen as some people are reporting these accounts to cybercrime. Undoubtedly this is a very useful service but some people are taking it for granted and because of that the genuine users are struggling with this so yes you are right that we need to be careful before using P 2 P.
P2p is one of my favourite method. But I agree with you that there are many why to scam. So we should understand it.
I also agree with you at this point we should all try to stay away from P2P for now,
p2p is a very nice system which i like very much. But the sad thing is that there are some fraudsters who want to exploit this system to benefit themselves. At one time it was very secure but recently there have been many scams in it. I think if you follow the 5 points mentioned by you no one will get scammed.
