Ecotrain QOTW: What are your most important needs and are they being fulfilled?

It is great that you are so aware of your needs, it is surprising the amount of people that are not, or that even run from them. instead trying to fill their lives with material things. It is interesting how our needs change over time and how your illness seems to have made you so much more aware as you focus more on your well being and making the connection between our body and minds. Great write up my friend, thank you for your honesty xxx

Yeah, it is swings and roundabouts to be honest as before the new year I was actually in a much different place in regards to my illness. I was drinking quite a bit as I was completely demoralized by the 6 year battle to try and figure out treatment for whatever imbalance is happening with my body.

Even now, a month into the keto diet and supplementing with many nutritional aids, I'm still sick and full of fatigue. But I've been thinking about it a lot the past week and I have a feeling that I might have a candida/yeast overgrowth problem as I had a short burst of energy for about a week 10 days ago (after the keto flu cleared), and now I have all the classic symptoms of a die back reaction.

Whatever the case might be, I'm committed to giving this keto diet + no sugar, caffeine, or alcohol 6 months minimum. Fingers crossed I start to see the benefits after the toxins have cleared from my system. If not, I'll be the lamest inspirational blogger on the internet ;-)

Great write up my friend, thank you for your honesty xxx

thanks Aishlinn :)

It is great post to understand the need

Ok, cheers.

THANK YOU! what a really well thought out post you have shared with us. i can feel you reading it, so that is great that you are really in to it!

i hear you on the liveliness part. That must be really hard for you, and really good that y9u are aware of it.. maybe one day you will find a way to spread your wings and taste some free spirit experiences..

<3

Life is a struggle atm and no mistake. But I'm hopeful that this is just a mechanism of the cyclic nature of the universe, and karma will deliver me healing and massive energy to accomplish the things I strive for in my middle age.

it's why I'm so focused on the ketogenic diet, with a strategy of nutritional supplementation, at the moment. With rapidly approaching 40 I feel like healing needs to be achieved now... or that youthful energy will be somewhat less when my body re-balances.

Anyway, thanks for checking out my post m8. It was a really interesting question and awareness of these things can help us realize what/where we work against ourselves :)

Thanks @raj808 for your well written post. I think having or finding "Meaning" and Enrichment in Life is so important for me. As well the other things you mentioned. But that just really resonated with me

Yeah you're right Robert.

Finding the meaning in life to fulfill your needs and truly express joy in living are so important.

We're on the same page for sure 👍😉

Thanks for checking out my post. I'm glad it resonates.

It really sounds like your digestion condition is the root cause of all your unfulfilled needs, I feel your frustration.

I hope you find something that works to keep it under control. Being over 40 doesn't kill your sense of liveliness btw, so that's one thing you don't have to worry about, at least.

Hi m8

Yeah, it really is only the health issues that holds me back. I'm always striving to find solutions to the two major things that limit me; the digestive imbalances and the liver disease. All of the insane symptoms of extreme fatigue etc are fueled by them I'm sure.

The head specialists have been close to useless with all of this past a point. They gave me all the NHS approved treatments, and when none of them worked sent me on my way to suffer. I'm a big believer in the NHS, and what it stands for, but when it comes to chronic conditions like SIBO they're unreasonably rigid.

Oh well, just gotta keep on keeping on 😉 there's always a bright side. If I do manage to heal these issues I will never take the small pleasures in life for granted again.

A pint with a friend at the pub. Treating yourself to the odd side of cake... and most of all, exercise! It sounds odd, but the worst thing about chronic fatigue is not having the energy to exercise properly as the odd bike ride basically leaves you fckd for days after.

It sounds like you have a lot of clarity of what your needs are and hopefully you will get them met! Beautifully written!
Thank-you for putting your heart into it and being vulnerable, allowing us to get to know you better!

Thanks porters.

yeah, sometimes it's a bit hard to open up emotionally, especially online. Knowing that people coukld be potentially judging etc.

But honesty is its own reward and the path to self understanding :)

Thanks for reading, I'm glad you enjoyed the writing and got something out of it :)
