Why isn't this working?
I think today's mana finished already from my side. But yours?

What a beauty! My. For one I've been trying so hard to see or get the perfect augumented allusion but here you are spelling it so beautifully, I definitely think the way you describe a process
I was thinking it was really going to be a difficult theme to express but my! You manage to weave your way around it, by all means I loved this one, the delivery was top knotch really and you never fail to deliver when it comes to poetry please, I lack confident when it's a video format very ironic when you see I'm a geek on dtube. However this is the killer delivery I felt what you were trying to show me and wow it's generally beautiful. Welldone
Thanks for the feedback mate. It was a difficult theme you gave me for sure and originally I started writing a poem about a guy who was addicted to visiting a software version of his dead wife in a virtual reality environment. I even wrote the first verse but I wasn't happy with it, so I decided to try a different direction.
This poem is much more concrete and complete, and it flowed easier when writing. It's about those first initial months/years of a love affair... where the intensity is like something out of this world, and you wake in the morning and just lie there and stare at the morning and the sun rising as your partner stirs. The whole action of the poem is completely a series of images for that perfect moment.
In my mind, the core image of the chrysalis hints at the nature of an evolving relationship, but also the intense beauty of that initial phase of love, before it evolves into transforms into something different, like the butterfly emerging from the pupal state of the chrysalis.
Thanks again for your thoughtful comment and feedback m8 :)
Fantastic poem. Real quick because I have been steeming away here for almost 6 hours, I want to spew out how I interpret this:
First two verses are metaphors that accurately capture the rapturous and magical moments of an early love/lust/transformation, the spell broken simply by the opening of eyes in the morning, the light and sounds (great choice of words with "knell") of the actual room, no longer in a chrysalis/bed.
Then we go through it all over again but no metaphor when the second lover wakes, reticently.
Really really great.
I don't quite understand the contest, but I'll give it more thought later. If I give it more thought right now, I'll be at this computer for 6 more hours!
Thanks for the thrill
You got it absolutely spot on @owasco :)

ha ha, remember not to burn yourself out with this steem stuff! The contest isn't really a contest, just a collaboration I suggested with Jose. I used to do a lot more collabs on steem and then I got super busy IRL and steeming really does eat up time sometimes.
Thanks for your thoughtful comment and feedback :)
Even though I don't want to disclose that I am still sitting here 30 minutes later, I need to say
the pleasure was all mine
