#Ulog #3 for Week 4 - An Unexpected Blessing Received

This morning I was having a video call with my daughter and grandson. A habit we do almost everyday. They are hoping their plans will push thru. Since I usually write under @busy.org, I saw a notification pop up. I opened it and saw that @nomad-magus mentioned me in a post. First I was confused, then I remembered I entered his contest to delegate 600sp to deserving #steemians to help the community. I actually only saw his post 4 days after he made it, I saw @surpassinggoogle share the link. His reasons were good and it showed his big heart. I was not finished with my post but I had to see what his post was. I opened it on another tab. I was excited, yet scared and worried that maybe I did something wrong? I think I followed his rules. I was holding my breath, uttered a small prayer. OMG I could not believe my eyes! My name was the first on the list! Seemed like my heart stopped for a minute (well actually a few seconds only)

I have joined in a lot of contests before . I have not really won but sometimes consolation prize. I was crying tears of happiness. I read his note:

*I hope the delegation will motivate you to expand your personal writing and the work you do among your community.

*Note: the delegation will end on July 23rd. However, one of you - the one who will have used the delegation in the best way - will be chosen (in a way I will announce later) and his/her delegation will continue for at least another two months.

I hurriedly wrote my comment (sorry it was long) to show my interest. Then I went back to finish my post. I changed it from a #ulog to a #teardrops post. I want this one to be my #Ulog because I am the star, the celebrity here!

I told @nomad-magus if I am doing anything wrong, to tell me anytime during my 2 months delegation. To some 600 is a small pea in the pod, but for us who are struggling it is a blessing. You can not get a delegation for free.

As I told him when I applied, I plan to help out the members of my group #SDFamily and the other group of newbies. So I will have 18 #steemians to help. Besides them I have a few other friends outside the group.

I have been struggling since I joined until my mentors @iwrite and @antonette (to bad she left us :() helped me. I learned to make quality post. I cried and I laugh during my 9 months here. I have worked hard to save SP and even self delegated when I finally understood how things functioned. There are even times I bought some SP so I will have my permanent SP value.

We were told that we can do whatever we can with the Sp delegated for 2 months. The only requirement is we upvote 100% his post and make art least 2-3 posts a week. I usually make 1-2 posts a day so no problem there. Then upvoting and resteeming his posts will be no problem either. I will check his wall every day for new posts I have not done.

The eyes of the community are on you, at least for the next two months. No pressure ;-)

Well I think he has a right to know. So since we can not upvote everyone because it will drain our voting posers and the voting value, I plan to help my community first so that in turn they can help others too. I plan to help my small group the #SDFamily and the #newbies. A total of 18. Plus I have a few friends not in the group that I also want to help. I will have to upvote in a staggered manner so I will be able to recharge even a little and not totally drain my voting power. I hope not to go below 75%

There is also a certain #steemian that I have been watching, his posts show his artistic talent. His artwork is beautiful and his posts are good. I will include him in my list: @caydenshan. I noticed he is not getting the attention he needs and the upvotes. Seems like his group can't help much. I know my upvote will be small but I hope it will help get him noticed by other people, not just the Filipino community. We have not been introduced but I've seen his work and seems like a shame it is not getting any attention. I hope by mentioning him here some will check out his work. I love beautiful things and great talent and I see it in his work.

All I ask of my group is they post quality articles, help out others too. Maybe someone can apply for the next batch.

Since I just got my delegation, I will be hard at work tomorrow. I have also encouraged my group mates to do their best, make quality posts, check their English, grammar and spelling. I hope I can encourage them because we are family and we help each other. Most are teachers and mothers, some single moms and #steemit has helped them financially. I hope I can help them more.
