One month later
About 4-5 weeks ago I introduced our little sumac to you.
I also said:
I hope that we can take it out of the pot at the end of the summer and it will be 16ft (5 meters) high soon :)
Well, we thought about this again and decided that our little sumac will have a bigger pot but will never be planted into our garden.
@old-guy-photos found the right words for the reason why we will never plant it into out garden: "They are pretty invasive ..."
So our decision was: the pot will grow with the plant but the plant will not take over our garden!!!
Only 4-5 weeks later it already looks like this
If you compare this to the first photo from my post 4-5 weeks ago you can see it doubled in size!!!
And I have the idea that the more it grows, the quicker it grows.
New branches grow even quicker.
So the conclusion is: always be sure what you're doing. Do not let beauty influence your decision.
Always think twice!!!

And we just walked through the streets some days ago ... and what did we see? One big and strong sumac in a front yard!
I'll ask them how they managed that it does not pop up all over the yard. Perhaps they have a special non-invasive variant.
But I know for sure ours will spread like crazy if we let it out of the pot into the garden ...
