When you first come to idea of posting on steemit you realize that there must be some nice photos in your new blog posts. But if you do not have your own blog where you could storage your old photos then you will need some cloud storage to store your picture before posting your links to steemit blog. Right?

But for your PC or MAC i would recommend to use PostImage
PostImage is a very simple site that not only gives you free image hosting for life , but it fits perfectly if you need direct links to your photos - something we really need when posting to Steemit. Look how many options you got!
1. Register on Postimage.
2. Upload your photo or use link of any photo from internet (upload from internet)!
3. Chose what link is better for you. I use Hotlink for website version for my Steemit posts.

while this may serve as a nice "alternative", be aware that you can also directly embed your photos into your STEEMIT posts from the editor as well!
