Basically you transfer 1 Steem to @steembasicincome but you also have to sponsor someone else by putting their name in the memo field. It doesn’t cost any extra to sponsor someone it’s still just a total of 1 Steem. That’s what I like about it because you are also helping someone else. They then upvote your posts. You should also upvote all of their posts to increase the payout.
You could choose a friend to sponsor or any random person but it’s a great idea to run a competition like this because you also attract the attention of others and if you make it a requirement for people to upvote your competition, follow you and upvote someone else’s comment then it is an added benefit for you and the people that the competitors upvote. Click the link and read the whole thing to make sure you are aware of the benefits and how it works. It takes a while to get your investment back(6 months for 1 share I’m told) but if you are in it for the long game then it’s worth it.
