Chen Zhen - The number one student of the Jing Wu Martial Arts School returned to Shanghai from a trip to the Philippines to discover his Master, the legendary Huo Yuanjia had died. No matter what reasoning was brought before him by the Jing Wu brotherhood, Chen Zhen would not accept it. How could Master die suddenly? He was so healthy. There was something not right and it ate at the very depths of his soul. It was the era of Japanese occupation, the Chinese had very little power and freedom so naturally, Chen Zhen's suspicions toward the Japanese were warranted. As time passed, his suspicions were right and no army big enough could contain the fist of fury known as Chen Zhen.

A neighboring syndicate wanted to buy the restaurant and Ms. Chen's refusal to sell would cause her many headaches in the repeated threats and terrorizing of patrons. When Tang Lung decided to make his move, the syndicate would soon fall apart. They had no idea the country feller is a kung fu expert obsessed with martial arts.

Agent Lee - Reaching Shaolin Temple's highest level of mind, body, spirit and philosophy, Lee was tasked by British Intelligence to help bring down an International crime lord named Han. Living like a king on his private island, Han held a martial arts tournament every few years as a guise to recruit the finest talents to join his organization. Lee would accept an invitation and methodically infiltrate Han's underground lair discovering a heroin manufacturing plant and prison holding stowaways and young girls captive.

Hai Tien - A retired champion martial artist who was forced to participate in an attempt to retrieve an unknown item at the top of a pagoda in South Korea. Hai Tien's younger sister and brother were kidnapped by a Korean underworld gang so he had no choice. The grounds of the pagoda were heavily fortified by well trained men and each ascending level there was a master guard disciplined in a specific martial art to stop any intruders.
