THE ORIGIN AND FALL OF EVIL SPIRITS Part 12. (THE FOCUS OF CHRISTIAN WARFARE).

This post will reveal to you the focus of our warfare. Many Christians spend their time and energy binding and loosing what they don’t actually know. Like I said in the beginning, the first victory over your enemy is to know who he is and his strategies, this is the reason I have spent time to write about Satan and his demons.

I want to assure you that every Christian is fully protected and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Listen to what God said “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: for the weapons of warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Cor. 10:3-5).

Every Christians should know that he is fighting with evil forces that are well organized. Therefore, he should approach the battle with seriousness.

In Ephesians 6:10-12, we read, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”

There are four categories of demonic forces mentioned above I would like to say something about:

Principalities (Arches GK), which means, the “first ones”. These groups of demons have kept their place of power for a long time. They form a strong and formidable network in the heavenly structure making sure that they attack every ministering angel that comes down to minister to Christians. A case in this point is cited in the book of Daniel 10:10-14:

“And behold, a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palm of my hands. And he said unto me, O Daniel a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee and now and now stand up right for unto thee and now sent. And when he has spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. Then he said unto me, fear not Daniel, for from the first day that that thou first set thine heart to understand and to chasten thyself before the God for thy words. Were heard and I am some for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me and I remained there with the kings of Persia…”

That is why we are advised to pray without failing until our expectations come through.

However, because Jesus our Lord is above all principalities we are above them and can withstand them in any battle. Every Christian by virtue of his position in Christ is placed above these seemingly strange demons and can seriously restrict their activities, see (Eph. 3:10; 1 Cor. 15:24; Col. 1:16; 2:10,1115).

1. Powers or authorities: (Exousiasak.GK.)

meaning delegated group of evil spirits. Satan gave this group of demons a delegated power to destroy, kill, steal and hinder the works of God in the lives of the children of God. They use so many ways and things to fight Christians. Their total concentration is on Christians. The aim is to make sure those who believe in Christ will turn back (like dogs that turn back to eat their own vomit) to commit sin, grow weak in their faith, prayer life, take away the desire from them. The Christians should in no wise be afraid of them, because Jesus delegated His own power to those who believe on Him to tread upon all these forces and smash them (Luke 10:19). The law of Osmosis says, “When two powers meet, the lesser power will bow to the superior power. Therefore,- like Goliath fell before David, when a child of God stands in the power given to him by Christ, all demons will quickly bow.

1. Rulers of darkness of this world (Kashokratopas GK):

they are spirits that are assigned to keep the world in darkness, by poisoning the heart of men and women to keep sinning. They introduce different kinds of sins. They influence the nation’s leaders to link themselves to the spirit world, making sure they neutralize any civil leadership post and at most ruin his Christian testimony. This group concentrates on the physical world and they are behind all the occultist practice.

1. Spiritual wickedness or wicked spirits in the heavenly places. (Pnenmatika ponavia GK).

This joined forces with the principalities to make sure they opposed the works of God in this world; principalities, powers and wicked spirits are opposed to God and His children. The rulers of darkness are assigned particularly to keep the unbelieving blinded toward God and truth (2 Cor. 4:3-4).
