Consensus 2017 event in New York witnessed, BitShares and Steem creator Dan Larimer's explanation of his project and vision to the crowd:
EOS is a smart contract blockchain-based platform in which decentralised applications can be built, that solves some of the current perceiving blockchain technology’s problems.
EOS, according to its creator, is a:
- Blockchain platform that completely cuts off transaction fees.
- Capable of handling millions of transactions per second.
It also carries tremendous potential, if the promises are delivered, as it will allow decentralised applications to go mainstream and scale accordingly. It has the capability to take down ethereum.
ICO of EOS happened a few days ago and has raised a volume of 650,000 Ether conluding almost near $200 million. Block.one the developer of EOS, has been excellent with its marketing as there were mentions regarding EOS in the New York Times and even Reuters.
OH!! Wait the strategies had les the token to one of the top 10 cryptocurrencies according to its market cap raising over $730 million and currently securing 9th position on the chart.
Each token right now is worth $4.64.
Also, a look at the EOS charts.
What is pretty clear here is that the volumes today has fairly increased resulting in an exorbitant jump in the price of EOS.
