Brain Switch (Freewrite #17: Switch)

Another day, another freewrite. Today's prompt is Switch. When I first opened the app to write, I sighed and thought - I have no idea what to write about, my mind is switched off. I realised... switch is the prompt, so I wrote about my mind (or brain) being switched off.
Brain Switch
Critical function! The alarms go off, screaming. Every employee is in panic, mashing the buttons on their machines. Quicker! We need to save this before it's too late. Work together! This is our job. This is our life!
Switch on dammit! It seems that nothing wants to be activated. Life supply is diminishing. This might be hopeless but nobody is ready to say goodbye. Toggle more switches. Electric Surge goes through. Phew! The basic level of survival seems to have been achieved. However, there is more to be done. Couple of weeks like this and we will all die anyway. Do not relax. Another Electrical surge.
What. Huh? Zero-Gravity field? Who activated that. No no no no no no!! I am not trained to manevour around - never have I floated before. This will take so much of our time. Time is critical to our function. The brain cannot remain in deep sleep forever. They will kill us all if they think we are not coming back. Rush! Battle against this stupid force-field. Use your magnetic powers or something! We have to switch on everything to full-function within 6 days, 23 hours and 46 minutes! The time is ticking... there's no time for you to be looking at your watch! GO GO GO!

whoah... what just happened? That was like waking up in a battle zone... confusing and frightening. I felt the adrenaline beginning to kick in. Very immediate writing, it took me right there!
I had five minutes to toggle my brain switches on!
