Another day, another challenge 😊
Portrait photography… another discipline I don’t practice a lot. But, thanks to the landscape picture I posted earlier this week, I found a lot of older pictures I didn’t look at for a very long time. And I think this one is perfect for today’s challenge…
What you see here is my lovely wife posing together with a traditional Greek Giant. There are not a lot of giants on Kos anymore… people, children especially, are scared of them and the last ones are hiding in the castle.
This one was very nice and waited for us at the entrance of the castle. He gave us some long explanations about the history of the castle (in Greek of course so… the added value was pretty low 😉) and insisted to pose for a picture… (c’mon, for just a couple of euros… call it cultural development 😉)
After taking the shot we entered the castle and our friendly new giant friend stayed at the entrance… hoping to find other tourists that were stupid enough to visit the castle at midday with a temperature far above 40...

Of course I was really impressed by the size of our new friend. I couldn’t resist to turn back and take another shot of him while he was unaware… and that’s when I discovered the secret of the Greek Giants! 😉
