Correct me if I’m wrong, but as far as I’ve read the rules… there’s nothing that says the animals have to be alive to participate in the contest 😉

Technicality?
Euh, not sure what you want to know...
If you want some figures about the shot : Shot with Nikon D750, Nikkor 16-35 at ISO 800, F4 and 1/50sec... without flash.
But of course it didn't came out like that :-) Heavily edited in lightroom and NIK software.
No, i meant it more as joking around and agreeing with you, like a figure of speech. As in the contest asked for animals, but the fact that the animals are not alive, but pieces of art in your photo, it just a "technicality". So because of this "technicality" I agree that you are within the rules. :)
It was a pretty feeble attempt at a joke. I'll come up with something better next time.

I was wondering the same when I was going through my photos looking for an animal photo just now and came across some photos of stuffed animals I got in a museum. For this week I found a photo of a living monkey, but I will see if you make it to the selection and maybe I will submit some stuffed animals next week :D

The owner liked some pictures on my instagram feed and when I returned him the favor we started to chat... I proposed to visit his store to take some pictures and I was very welcome. In fact, I should return... the guy prepares all the animals you see in the picture (even larger ones) and I would love to make a photoshoot in his workshop...
Ohh yes you should go back so much chbto see there and many photo opportunities 😎
