Arkansas Gowrow: North American Folklore
Caves are notorious for hiding secrets and stories in their darkened depths. Among these storied legends is the Arkansas Gowrow, a mythological beast that is said to inhabit the caves of the southern U.S. state.
The horrible monster of Arkansas is described a giant reptile, twenty feet in length. Upon their green hued face, they have two enormous tusks. Between the tusks lie a dangerous set of teeth, which can break through bone as easily as human teeth might snap a carrot. From its terrible mouth, it emits a strange assortment of hisses and growls, which are sometimes the only warning sign that a fearsome beast is near you in the dark of a cave. The name “Gowrow” was actually given to the creature for the strange guttural sounds it makes. The humongous feet of this wingless dragon are webbed and clawed, and upon its back are spiky tendrils, punctuated in a speared tail. The young Gowrow emerge from soft-shelled eggs, that are said to be as large as a beer keg.
The Gowrow is a darkness loving beast. When the Gowrow isn’t lurking in caves and preying on unsuspecting spelunkers, it is out in the moonlight, slaughtering livestock.

That's another creature that I like the sounds of its name - Gowrow. Lol. It has a nice ring to it. I definitely would not want to run into it. Especially in a dark cave.
