We just finished clearing the build site for our community center. Now we just have to let an inspector come and have a look before we get the last stamp we need for the permit and we'll be clear to proceed with construction. This year's gonna be freaking huge. :)
This clip just shows the build site for this one structure but you can see photos and video of the rest of the community lands at our website, which is about to undergo a major overhaul. In other news, we got a detailed quote from our builder and we're finally able to start using solid pricing numbers, which is awesome because until now, we've only ever been able to deal in estimates and fantasyland gets tiresome after a while. A press release will go out once the new website is done so we're hoping the wave of new eyeballs will see that we accept Steem Dollars for real estate and find there way here to Steemit as result. Look forward to more big news to roll out over the weeks ahead!
Great news very good to hear and see! My girlfriend and I have been talking about a place for a while and have both been individually channelling Chile!?! Knowing about your location and the philosophy of the group involved, we are both interested into what you are doing. I keep and eye and ear to the ground in relation to what is up in your neck of the woods. Thanks for sharing and namaste :)
Right on! Yeah, I've been down here for three years and am getting my permanent residency now so I can definitely help you if you have any questions. :)
Wow, thank you so very much, this is greatly appreciated. All for one and one for all! Namaste :)
Interesting project. I have read your website. I will watch with interest for further events and project development.
Stoked!
Nice to see it moving along :) , can't wait to see when it's all up. Consider making a GaltCoin? lol
Thanks! We may create a token for internal use (voting, investment in projects, etc) but we'd rather encourage local adoption of bitcoin and steem rather than trying to shift over to a new coin, just for ourselves. Maybe someday in the distant future, when there are a hundred other locations networked together, it would make more sense, since we'd be sort of like a decentralized global nation.
Wow, this is just amazing. You have done a lot of great things. Congratulations!!!
You have done some awesome things, @piedpiper! Thanks for sharing this great video. Upvoted & Followed you as well.
thanks :)
Is the build going to be strictly professionals only or can volunteers help?
We were originally hoping to let volunteers come and help in a sort of barn-raising fashion, but it turned out that Chilean law requires the construction head to be certified with a Chilean degree because of the liability issues involved. If were operating in the shadows, it would really matter but this build is relatively high-profile and we really don't want anyone to mess things up on a dumb technicality like that... so in other words, we won't be using volunteers for this one but we might for other things later on in the future.
Cool. I'll check this out this week.
nice :)
