PV's Daily Log #40: My voting as a jury and few updates.

Short post about latest photo activities...

Since I went back from Lofoten Workshops I didn't took out my camera from backpack until last weekend. I took made little session for my friend's daughter.
I feel like really burned out in the place of my living - I really need to see, experience and shoot some new areas to get this inspiration, proper photo visions and to feel this energy of excitment.
Living 6 years in one place is definitely too long for me.

Area around Trondheim is quite boring, very little interesting spots by the shore, few not very high mountains (or maybe bigger hills) some waterfalls and lakes, but after so many years - they don't look attractive for me any more.
I know I should be happy og the fact I am living in one of most beautiful countries in Europe, but it don't change the fact that You are getting bored of even the most beautiful view after many years.
And simply - the area of Trondheim is quite boring - no any high mountains, deep fiords or dramatic coastlines...

To find some mor einteresting area I have to travel around 150 km.

But ot the sunbject from the title.

As I mentioned long time ago, I am one of the Jury on the international photographic contest organized by 35photo.ru site called 35 Photo Awards.

Now was the last, third stage of voting, where only the jury members had their vote.

We had to fo through every shot in the final rating them with stars from 1 to 5. After that we were chosing 15 best works of the cathegory and also we had to pick only one work, which we think is the best in the whole contest.

I must say it was extremely hard work!
The level of presented photographs is very high in most cases.

There are 22 cathegories, each cathegory contains from 41 to 475 works!
It was fun but after watching a thousant photos - I really had enough.

I didn't went through all of the cathegories and I think I will leave it like that - I am totally not into portrait, glamour or children photography - I don't feel like I want to watch hundreds of fashion photos and judge them, if I totally don't feel this type of photography.

Soon we will know the results and it would be interesting to see if any of my favourite works will win.

The level of the contest, prize pool and number of participants are getting bigger every year ao if You like to take part in competitions - sonn next edition for the Year 2019 will start!

I put on the contest 9 photos, 2 of them went to the final stage so I am also curious about how far they will go.

What else - my Stock Photography .... is standing in place. I didn't upload any new sets, I didn't have time to prepare any also. But - as it is fully passive income - I had some sales of course, not so good as in January and February, but wasn't so bad.
I will show You the full sales report during next week.
