Hiking to peak Kôprovský štít 2367 meters above sea level

Kôprovský štít is one of the many peaks in the High Tatras. It is peak rises to a height of 2367 meters above sea level. And that is the goal of my next trip.
I made a deal with a college classmate I hadn't seen in a year. He is currently on holiday with his mother in the High Tatras.
I leave the house early in the morning. We meet in Dolný Smokovec, where they get in the car with me and continue in the trio to the Popradské lake car park.
We continue on foot and the hike begins. 19.4 km of walking awaits us.
From the parking lot we follow the asphalt road to Popradské lake. There is a tourist hut to which supplies are brought along the asphalt road. Sometimes this road was lined with trees, but the calamity in 2004 changed everything. Beautiful and massive spruces fell like matches during a hurricane.
Over the years, young trees have grown here, but it will take several more decades for the forest to be completely restored.
We shorten our journey by talking and remember our experiences from college. We decided not to stop at Popradské lake and to continue. We will go back the same way so we will stop at it then.
We descend from the asphalt road and finally get to the right hiking trail. We are surrounded by a forest, which we missed below. We continue to mention college times. As we used to play tennis instead of lectures ... We didn't even think, we left the forest and entered the cypress zone.
This is an unmistakable sign that we are rising higher and higher. The Tatra landscape is amazing. Sharp terraced climbs alternate with beautiful plains.
Here we must divide. A friend has a knee problem and can't climb as fast. His goal is to get to Great Hincovo lake. For me, however, it is only a stop. My goal is Kôprovský štít a few tens of meters higher.
I'm adding to the step. I look around, but after a while I don't see them anymore. Arrival to the largest ball in the High Tatras to the Great Hincovo lake. I sit down and have something to eat. The prelude is a sharp terraced exit.
I'm moving on. Sweat drips from me and I slowly rise. I take short breaks and admire the surrounding nature. From here I have a completely different view of Great Hincovo lake.
And that's it! Although the peak is still preliminary, the hardest part of the ascent is behind me.
After a short break, I continue. The climb is still challenging, but it is no longer so steep. Step by step, I get closer to the goal. The last climb on the rocks and I'm here!
Dill shield and stunning views all around. In such moments, man is happy to live and enjoy life and the amazing nature that our Earth offers us. I find a comfortable rock, set up my camera, tripod and take time-lapse video. While the camera works, I enjoy the views.
After about an hour of relaxation, I pack my things and I start to descend. The clouds are starting to get bigger and it looks like it's going to rain. I don't mind the rain, but a storm in the mountains is not pleasant.
I descend to Hincovo lake when the first raindrops fall to the ground. It's raining hard, so I'm wearing a raincoat. What I didn't want became a reality. There is thunder in the Tatras and it is shining everywhere. I hurry down as fast as I can, but to my surprise, I meet people on the way who go up despite the storm. Fortunately, as fast as the storm in the Tatras comes, so quickly.
I hurry downstairs to catch up with my friend and mom. I managed to do it down in the parking lot by the car. They were already waiting for me there. We shared our experiences and went home.
Well thank you.
