I noticed 15 shots are proxy (really close) but not true macro. Also small dof (depth of fields) does not mean it is a macro neither :-)

For the true macro, I am not to tough on this one as true macro requires fancy gear. So I stick to a 'appear bigger than life size' motto :P
I know @juliank :-) my aim is just awake amateurs to go further :-) There is no judgement about their pic of course, just a technical matter :-) And that's why I use technical terms, then if interst, google will be the second teacher ahahaha
I cannot choose between the two: "color challenge blue friday Blue Delphinium" by @macrophotography and "Daily Photo Contest • Macrophotography • Pepper Mint Bubbles" by @vincentleroy. I am sold on the depth of colour and texture :)

My favorites are "Macrophotography part 12 - Animals" by @farhansteem and "A delight to behold!" by @sallybeth23, for the feat of getting to capture such difficult subjects with such quality. And I love Pepper Mint Bubbles" by @vincentleroy, "Like two drops of water" by @krajes1993, and Desert Pinwheel Rose" by @angrysage for the magic, besides, of course, the technique. I don't know how you choose sometimes. Lol.
It is kinda love of at first sight and then I go in for a closer look and also look for technical aspects. One way to not win for example is crooked horizons :P
Ha ha. Yep! A rookie mistake that I still occasionally make! But it is easily correctable.
Exactly! Especially because it can be corrected. Its not possible to correct for not getting a subject fully in frame. So I tend to be more forgiving for that
But mostly, when I have to choose between multiple photos. There are always multiple, since there are many people participating. Then the decision is easy if one horizon is crooked
