Welcome back to Denver! We are venturing forth on black Friday not for a TV or toys, but for cat food and litter and milk and sugar. Come along with me!
It's eerily quiet
Really, it's like Official American Consumerism Day and it's so quiet you'd think it was Everyone Is Inside Watching The Superbowl Day. I was thinking the whole way to the store that traffic would be halved or less if people didn't commute to jobs all the time just to survive. I mean I'm sure the traffic near a Best Buy or a Walmart was terrible today, but this was noonish near the intersection of the two busiest streets in town.

Petco accomplished, where I got almost $100 worth of kitty food and litter for around $55. This is why I went out today. That's about 57 pounds of stuff on the cart...
...but sure let's add another ~15 lbs. of groceries because I mean, that's why I brought the granny cart today, right?
The coat was off after about a quarter mile. This photo was around a half mile, when I started hating my life. Pushing and pulling over 70 pounds on a short dolly (so, tilted in order to be able to roll it) is far more of a workout than you think when you hafta take it very far.
Three quarters of a mile was about when I remembered that roughly 75 pounds was what broke my last granny cart's wheel...
Oh my Gods the wheelchair ramp is like adding a hill at the end of a marathon.
Made it! Can we just take a moment to appreciate the sailor tying things down skills one needs when shopping via dolly?
FAT KITTEH HEAVEN! 😉 (that's two new bags today, a free bag from a neighbor acquired the other day, a free bag acquired when my mom's cat crossed the bridge, Yuan's old food, and Maggie's old food. I'm switching over to limited ingredient foods because I have tried all the diets ...raw food, grain free, feeding schedule, vet recommended diet food, all wet food, etc... and Yuan keeps gaining weight (see: fat kitteh). So then I thought: my first cat Butterscotch got really fat and not until the vet said food allergies did he start to lose weight. What if Yuan is the same? So if he is not on weight loss food then he and Maggie can eat the same kibbles again (and yes, they get wet food too). It would be ironic if my cat had food allergies, too. Wish us luck!
So, that's it. I collapsed into a chair. LOL Hauling weight makes a frequent jaunt feel like a triathlon!
Did y'all brave the stores or stay safely home today?
I wish I could have gone for a walk today but I had to work ☹
Really, for the moving company? I guess maybe people thought it would be an un-busy time to schedule moving?
I really expected everyone would be off all weekend.. wrong again.. in fact I work Saturday too

Autonomous cars will take the amount of traffic down in your city. A place like Denver, I give it 5-7 years.

Yep english housing agents a professional scam artists. I have to pay £180 before I could even move in thats not including the deposit of first rent! It to print a contact and an immigration check was a load of BS
In the States it's often a deposit, or first and last month's rent, if they allow pets a pet deposit on top of that, often now there is extra pet rent (!), and if you get a parking space, extra rent for that, too, if you're in an urban area. And yeah, sometimes a fee for checking your credit and whatnot and you might not even get the apartment then. It's madness.
It's robbery I can't believe I had to pay £70 for an immigration check. I've live in England all my life, what a scam. I normally go private but didn't have time very annoying !
