Hi there Lovelies,🤗 I hope your day has been good so far, my name is Nefisat, I'm a Nigerian and this would be my ACHIEVEMENT 4 POST and in this post I will be discussing the Process of Applying Markdowns.

• To proceed, what do I understand by the Term "Markdowns" in th Steemit Platform?... Markdowns are sets and an array of symbols, codes or signs in which we Steemians and website content creators use to edit, style, setup, align and arrange our posts, comments and text in a preferred order. Markdowns are very essential in the process of creating a post on Steemit.

• Let's Begin with HEADLINES

1. HEADLINES:

are the ways in which we use to indicate a new set of or different information. It's done by adding a hashtag(#) at the beginning of a paragraph with the wanted write-up just next to it. For example
# ( Preferred headline write-up), when you write it like this without a backtick(`) it be will be like👇:

• Another thing to note is that the number of hashtags (#) you add will determine the size of the Headline write-up, i.e the more the hashtags, the smaller the headline. See an example with 2 hashtags: like

2. APPLYING SUPERSCRIPTS AND SUBSCRIPTS

• Superscripts: this process involves placing the markdown Write-up<sup>1</sup>Here , this will produce 👉:

• Subscripts: almost same thing with the Superscripts, this only requires switching "sup" with "sub" like👉: Write-up<sub>2</sub>Here , this will produce 👇:

3. ADDING LINKS

Sometimes, we might want to apply links to our post, maybe to cite a piece of work or lead to our own page.

• A normal Link is done by just copying and pasting, then it will be clickable, an example is my Introduction post Link: https://steemit.com/hive-172186/@pheenarh21/achievement1-verification-through-introduction
• We might choose to hide these links and make them easier to read or know the content of the page the link is leading us to, like👉: [Link About Write-Up](link pasted here) , as noticed a Set [] is used for the first part and brackets for the second (). The above example with a real link will produce👇:

• Usernames are also links, if you type your correct username with a "@", when clicked, it will direct the person to your home page, where he /she can see all your activities. An example is 👉: @ngoenyi this will produce 👉 : @ngoenyi & @steemcurator03

4. TABLES

We might need tables to give better understanding to our readers by further analysing data or for separating data into different groups. It is done by copying and pasting the format for it.

5. BLOCKQUOTES(>)

6. DOTS, BOLD AND ITALICS

• We easily add dots by using a *
• Bold is done by using triple Hysterix *** before and after a text, example:
  ***Plagiarism is highly prohibited*** which gives👉: Plagiarism is highly prohibited
• Italics is implemented by using just one * before and after a text.
