Food for thought
The world we know is getting smaller all the time. Not that the planet is shrinking, just that humans are multiplying at an alarming rate. Off the topic in mind, but easily integratable is how we get third world country folk to learn the importance of scaling their families from as high as fifteen to families of between three and five.
As the international population escalates it seems less and less are attempting to contribute to what is sure to become a food crises at some point. South Africa is one such an example where the farming sector is being diminished in many ways. Farmers in South Africa at this point are murdered at an alarming rate in what is sadly racially driven political agenda fueled by the current government. Many other African countries that use to produce a great deal of food are now very dormant in that field. Farms that in turn could be feeding these rapidly expanding populations now doing nothing while so many are starving. Allowing these farms to become unproductive has seen many work opportunities reduced with every passing year which now has created another enormous problem.
Population numbers rise while jobs and food security drop along with extreme spikes in all costs of living which leads to an extreme increase in violent crime. Desaster recipes in countries with very rich soil which is perfect for the production of all and any types of food sources which will also in turn strengthen the economies and secure jobs for a very many people.
As third world countries go, why is Mexico increasing in agricultural production, India busy dropping in agricultural percentages and Africa is falling through the floor?
Why can some people farm up the side of a mountain and some with wide open spaces just not manage to make a go of it?
We have the UN running around Africa feeding people who could be producing their own food, so doing creating their own jobs and thus improving their own economies. Why why why? Why is the world enabling poverty and hunger instead of empowering people to be able to feed themselves? Why are the peacekeepers not taking out the dictators who force their own people into poverty and hunger?
What could possibly be the reason those who talk about helping all the time seem to end up doing the opposite. Some food for thought along the lines of teach a man to fish.
The world has a lot to think about and even more to do. Codling equals decay.
Improvise Adapt & Overcome
There is a very fuzzy line between help and interference. External help is provided to recover from unavoidable events like natural disasters or droughts; temporary events whose effects must be resolved quickly. It becomes interference in internal affairs when the problems are caused by greed or incompetence of the leaders of a country, and the world's governments do not support that...often for purely selfish reasons. They work in an unspoken "we will ignore your actions if you ignore ours" environment.
Unfortunately, resolution of the internal problems are left to the people who are aggrieved to correct our own internal problems.
The UN is useless in correcting (changing) internal problems because most member states have their own internal inappropriate activities and they do not want the UN bothering them, so the vote is always "hands off" when the external replacement of a corrupt system is the clear and humane solution.
In fewer words: we are all in our own lifeboats and must provide our own corrective solutions, whether SA or US. When the enemy is at the gates, our options are to either accept or to change our situation by whatever means necessary.
Amen sir, well said. What upsets me is how everyone loses their minds when one does what one must do protect yourself and those who threaten you get hurt or worse. Like they didn't have it coming.
That's the same here and it's getting worse, too. The Liberals would love to put everyone on trial and put the innocent and mentally stable in prison so the rest could run wild without interference. They are so focused on removing the President, rational thought is almost absent in the political process.
Not my favorite subject because the political system is broken, the sides are polarized more than in our history, and may be beyond repair.
Hmmmm, ya the liberal system which I believe is funded by the muslims, rothschild and soros families and must be resisted by the rest of us as a majority and at all and any cost. The rest of us simply give the mental ill minority way to much power, time to clip their wings
No question about any of that. Supporters are not spending money for the good of the downtrodden people, but to undermine the financial stability of the country. The Liberals are happy to take the bribery because they can recruit more "believers".
The first requirement to be a Liberal is to have no understanding whatsoever of finance. The "who is going to pay for that?" never enters into their equation when suggesting yet another give-away, free-lunch program. Supporters of the give away programs know that the recipients will support the Liberal party giving them the free shit that the few remaining workers will have to pay for by absorbing the inflation give-aways cost.
They honestly believe that "the government will pay for it" is rational thinking! The govt does NOT have money; it takes what it needs from taxpayers directly, or indirectly through inflationary spending. Either way, the overall economy suffers with the Liberal something-for-nothing give away programs that are clearly designed to attract more Liberal voters.
It is a very effective strategy, unfortunately.

It's interesting that when our govt purchased a large quantity of AR-15 rifles, they were specified as "personal defense" items.
When a civilian (like me) purchases one, the govt calls them "assault weapons".
Assault weapons vs. personal defense?
Well they made up nice sales and still do, but make the liberals nervous because imagine every clear thinking American owning one of those and standing together saying to here and no further?
