Traditional Fishermen

This is a natural view of fishermen who illustrate sketches of a difficult life as traditional fishermen in the waters of Aceh, Indonesia.

Indeed!

They are hard workers and dare to conquer the waves and wind to fulfill their daily lives. But the kendela they face today as traditional fishermen is getting heavier because they have to deal with fishermen who use modern trawlers, fish marketing, fish theft, protection and others that make them increasingly depressed.

Sometimes I see, they still go out to sea even in the west and east seasons because there is no other source of income. And sometimes even sadder they returned from the sea without bringing their catch.

They face open access resources that cause them to move with all the risks they face. This risky resource condition causes fishermen to have a hard, firm, and abusive character but they also have an open nature to each other.
