Chocolate Mousse - Recipe
I'm sharing a recipe for all the chocolate lovers. Traditional French mouse is made with just a few ingredients but it's still fluffy and rich in taste.
A good mousse can be prepared with nothing more than 4 ingredients. No need for cream, butter or anything similar.
For 2 cups of mousse you will need:
3 eggs
100g of chocolate
3 spoons of water
tiny pinch of salt
Break the chocolate and melt it over the pot with hot water while stirring. Make sure the water is not boiling, just simmering. In the meantime separate egg whites and yolks.
Whisk the whites and add the salt.
When the chocolate is melted, slowly mix the yolks in, one by one. Then slowly carefully add the whites. Don't let the simplicity of ingredients fool you - you have to be very careful about stirring the whole time. Don't do it too vigorously or the whites will loose the air and the mousse will not be as fluffy as you want it.
Pour the mousse into the mugs and let it cool down to the room temperature. Once it's cool put it in the fridge and let it sit for at least 6 hours before serving it. It's long - I know. But it's worth it.
Bon appétit!
The photos were taken Nikon D5300 and NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G lens. I'm slowly figuring out how the camera works so a lot of the photos of the actual preparation weren't good enough to post. Stay tuned for more delicious recipes.
Thanks for sharing this recipe, my cooking skills are kinda bad but this looks like something that i can make my self:)
Great photos.
Am salivating already....
I should try it for a new experience.
