Boateng though has come out to claim that the Arsenal forward wasn't to blame for their failure to progress. He iterated that he wasn't the only one in the tea and that their failure was every player's fault.

The criticism may be due to the fact that the player looks languid most of the time and appears unwilling to make contributions to team efforts.

It remains to be seen though if the player would continue playing for the national side but Boateng revealed that the player was very angry following their exit from the world cup.
