Who’s Talking About Steemit? Youtube API Analysis 1st-7th March '18
To celebrate all those that promote Steemit via Youtube I have devised this weekly report. By connecting Power BI to the YouTube API, I am able to extract details about videos and publishers on the tag ‘Steemit’. From here we can see how many views, comment likes and dislikes these videos received. All publicity is good publicity!
It is down to people promoting Steemit on the likes of Youtube, Twitter & Medium that help with the continued growth of the Steemit platform.
This week’s report is based on the top 156 most relevant videos published between the 1st and 7th March.
@eroche produces a weekly report on Steemit Twitter stats, you can view the latest report here:

The top 156 videos returned were created by 132 Youtube Channels.
These 156 videos returned 38,534 views, 2,437 likes and 1,022 comments. Congratulations to @reseller for getting 6 of the top 156 videos returned by the API. Nice SEO!
The table below sorts the data by number of views – this is the reach each of the channels has received with their videos.
@styxhexenhammer had massive reach with one video of 15,354 views and 1,018 likes. This video is an introduction to his followers to Steemit and Dtube
@adamkokesh also had awesome reach of 3,256 views and 257 comments with his video also encouraging his following to join Steemit – nice work!
Congratulations to all of you that have produced videos that mention Steemit. You are doing awesome work for the community and I hope you keep it up.
Next week we will look at the data for the videos published in the second week of March ‘18.

lol, my Steemit video has 5.5K views and I didn't make the list. :-P
The power of YouTube is it continues to deliver traffic long after it's published.
A chart with all Steemit mentions would be useful to see if any existing Steemit YT videos are still 'trending'.
what date was your video published?
It was from early this year I think and it is still collecting views. Although, I can see you are gathering data from last week, but in reality, the YT reach is much larger as older videos continue to gain views over time.
Just saying...
What would be more interesting is comparing the youtube videos from your data with their respective Steemit posts so we can understand if their audiences are more or less engaged on Steemit/Dtube than Youtube.
And then seeing how that develops over time.
Anyway, great work. There isn't a problem with your data, just the scope. IMHO
Woah! Someone is monitoring KPIs on Steemit promotions on Youtube! That's awesome!
I checked out your Excel website too. Very cool. Would love to see you post in the entrepreneur tag/feed to share a bit about how you got started with your business.
hay thanks for your feedback and for checking out my site. Never really considered posting in the entrepreneurs tag. Maybe I will :-)
