The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.”[d] But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit[e] through faith.

So you think based on these verses that the law of God is a curse?

This is reading the bible... I don't think anything @dwells. If you don't read the content of the posts you comment, you will get in trouble on steemit or people will ignore you. Take time to read what is written. This is not what I think, but the scriptures. Look the tittle of the post... Much love and prayers.

I read the entire post. After reading the entire post I followed it up with a question. Maybe I should have worded it differently. Let me try again.

Based on your understanding of these verses do you think the law of God is a curse?

“Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree” - this is where it stop to be your ruler. A dead man or woman can't practice the law of moses.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us - By dying our death, Jesus put an end of the rule of the law over us. Rom 6:3-5
Rom 6: 14 = you now live under grace, NOT the law of moses (performances and rewards)

So what you are saying then, by your interpretation of what Paul wrote to the Romans, that he changed and negated the words of Jesus when he said

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled."
Matthew 5:17‭-‬18 NKJV

So Paul a mere man like you and I has the authority to change what God himself said?

I would like to point out there is no "law of Moses" there is only the law God. It's not a law of performance and rewards, it's a law of obedience and blessings or disobedience and curses. The blood atoning sacrifice of Jesus is the only way to achieve salvation, this is true, but the only way he was able to be that sacrifice was by being obedient to the law of God and not sinning. There is only 1 definition of sin found in the Bible and it is this
"Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."
1 John 3:4 KJV

Jesus lived a perfect life, perfect in that he never transgressed God's. He never sinned, by breaking God's law.

I now know how far you see and understand certain terminology. The law of Moses in theology refers to the Old Testament law. The Law of Moses, also called the Mosaic Law or in Hebrew: תֹּורַת מֹשֶׁה‎‎, Torat Moshe, refers primarily to the Torah or first five books of the Hebrew Bible, traditionally believed to have been written by Moses. You are surely believer of the ministry of death according to Paul in 2 Corinthians 3: 7-9 [Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses' face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit have even more glory? 9 For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory.]! Now, I think I won't really take you seriously because you're showing me that you're not close to your bible as you should and you're not able to see beyond what you 'know'. I thank God for the free will He gave all men. I appreciate you and love you always in Him, but I will not spend time trying to explain what you can't see. I hope you'll understand. Thank you dear friend @dwells

My eyes have been opened, I fear it is you who still has the blinders on. You preach that we do not have to keep the law, by doing so you preach a doctrine of Lawlessness. You want to pick and choose which laws to keep, unless you are a completely liberal Christian who thinks murder, theft, adultery, and homosexuality are all ok. Are you that type of Christian?

Romans 6: 14
I don't think you learned respect when you where young but I did, and I am not sure if you know who you are talking to, I do. I'm not sure if you know what the body of Christ is, and how to communicate what you believe. and I haven't even looked your blog, but I know now who you are and will surely mark you down. Enjoy your journey here, it could've been good to have you in my meetings with leaders, to ask all these questions and I could've looked at you eyes to eyes and helped you. Again enjoy your journey here. good bye

Christ came to abolish the Law It is to believe in Jesus who saves the works of the pulpit, the righteous will live by faith in Christ. Christ died at our death because of the fall of Adam bringing us into death. He died as man (humanity) because he as God is eternal, and we also now because he lives in us. But the work of the cross redeemed us by grace, we died to ourselves, died to the law, to live life, to justice the love of Christ risen glorious with the whole humanity. We live therefore through the Faith of Christ our faith is the faith that it has for us. We are the righteousness of Christ who died for the redemption of our sins; it was acquired by grace and not by law. Blessings Pst thanks to your posts who open our minds through Holly Spirit

Amennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn omg amazing comment. I upvoted and followed you. You're a blessing dear @chantalelluia

Merci open doors upon you

amennnnnnnnnnnn merci Jesus!

Sadly Jesus himself disagrees with you. He himself said this ""Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.
Matthew 5:17 NASB

Man it sure does suck when the Bible doesn't line up with what your pastor taught you the Bible said huh?
