Peaceful guardian
The image does make it look bigger than it actually is... but my entrance to today's #monomad challenge by @monochromes is a reasonable size statue nevertheless.
This photo was taken in one of the most amazing places I have visited: Angkor-Wat, in Cambodja. This one is but a pale sample of the incredible constructions we can find in the complex, but just loved the serene expression, overlooking the river. It was just one of the row of guardian statues that were in the bridge.
Different expressions, all with beautiful details... but without a doubt, that one is my favourite.
