Nature's Priests > Human Priests | TribeSteemUp's BiWeekly Question ("If You Could Show Everyone In The World One Thing What Would It Be?")

in #tribesteemup5 years ago (edited)

I vividly remember back in the day being an activist for a moneyless society that aims to tackle the recurring problems of artificially created scarcity and the debt-born creation of money. And due to many factors - like the relentlessly controlled mainstream media, the tireless efforts of the power structure to pervert and twist the meaning of terms and legalese, as well as artificially manipulated historical narratives - I came to see that there seldomly are one-size-fits-all solutions for everyone. I saw it because I vehemently tried to push my newly learned insights onto other human beings and it just doesn't work that way I'm afraid ;)

We are all on different levels of understanding and insight, everyone carries their own opinions - however misguided or correct they may be - and ever since I have come to find out that even those claiming to know the truth very rarely actually do. Rather there seems to be an endless row of honeypot narratives out there set up to fall into once a certain illusion has been seen through - only to step right into the next illusion, making us the new advocate, hoping we don't see the new flaws inherent in that newly uncovered concept or worldview.

I have thought about it so many times and though it may come as a shock to traditionally minded people in regards to "democracy" and "reason", I have come to find that the answer to finding the missing truth does not and cannot lie in other people claiming to have the answers.

True, we can and should listen to each other, learn from each other and always aim to change our minds once somebody makes a well-founded and reasonable case to us to do so when we feel we need to change our mind in response. HOWEVER, due to the inherent treacherous nature of a system based on false assumptions and our own learned human naiveté, I have come to see priests (meaning any type of leader) as the problem itself.

At least as long as the priests are human beings leading other human beings, no matter how noble the cause may initially sound or how long the tradition has been upheld...

Say what?

You see, I have often considered myself a psychonaut, someone keen on exploring the psyche and all its endless contortions and mazes. Someone eager to uncover where we have been misled - even when it has happened for good intentions on the part of the misleaders (in case that ever happened). And often I have found plants and natural helpers to be great guides in uncovering those weird parts about the human psyche and our contemporary assumptions we have been taught.

What then is the solution? What is that one thing everyone ought to know in order to facilitate a peaceful, just and collaborative existence among human beings on Earth?

Hilariously, I came back to the priest-concept I had so often rejected in the past when it came to believing human beings proclaiming to have the answers. The only difference being that the priest can never again be another human prone to all the same shortcomings but instead - a mushroom.

Though I still wrestle with the idea whether a psychedelic mushroom is the answer fit to every single human being, this is the only "thing" I could ever readily recommend to anyone, regardless of background.

If you are a human being, regardless where you are from, what your story is, what you believe in or what your problems are... the mushroom will show you things. Things relevant to you, to your life, to your challenges and problems. It will remind you to love yourself when you are too harsh with yourself, it will show you your fears without any possibility of becoming mad and projecting them back at the other human being who could have pointed them out to you. It is one of nature's most profound and poignant tools for self-discovery. It speaks in a language clearer than any human tongue and is yet always a mystery in the way it presents itself to you.

And while certain precautions are certainly needed when engaging with a mushroom, the dosage is important and the setting, as well as your level of willingness to surrender and let go of resistance... if I could show or teach humanity any one thing it would be to dare to let the psychedelic experience into their life, at least once in a lifetime, for a few hours.

To you, my dear shroomies, for the few times we had together I say: Thank you for everything. Your guidance and reminders have helped me clear up my mess in ways no human being has ever managed to motivate me to. In this way I see nature as our utmost failsafe that can manage to show us a path out of the valley when all human minds have long been coerced by other human beings' ideas, convictions and ideologies. As cheesy as it sounds, I really believe nature will always remain our only real failsafe against being misled.

Agreed. Just reading @choogirl's series on aya and reminding myself of why the plant world is so incredible - some of the best psychonautic revelations (love that term, by the way) have been with plants and nature. Much better guides and teachers than men with agendas.

Crypto for the future trades :) well it's not moneyless but a tokenized value exchange :D
Nature is for sure the real energy giving source ;) ..playing separate from it.. we deny all that powers, I mean we take more and give less...breaking the circuit..
Only a caring and nutruting humanity will survive this crisis :)

Precisely why I want to build a network of people who have their heart in the right place.
Looking forward to meeting you!

couldn't make it to antaris fest...
however somewhere in time.. i hope ;)

Definitely, this year is rather busy for me as well, we'll stay in touch for some other opportunity. I am eyeing that new crew in Georgia for a visit.
