Lavender Oil - A Magic Potion | A Universal Body-Tissue Healing Agent

in #natural-healing5 years ago (edited)

As I am preparing to collect my travel necessities for the next leg in my life-journey I am wondering what to bring when it comes to first aid. What do I really need on the road and what can I leave at home that would unnecessarily encumber me on long travels?

Well, apart from the bare medicine essentials necessary for hitchhiking that we already talked about at length in my ongoing hitchhiking series there is a certain kind of oil I will never leave my home without. It's a powerful healing oil that - in my opinion - is greatly underrated given its magical results and sheer universal case of application when it comes to healing body tissue internally or externally. Or rather: Helping the body to heal itself.

Cuts, bruises, swelling - restored

You see, back in high school I used to play a bit of basketball for fun. And there was this one instance where I had my middle finger tensed and all the way stretched out with muscles flexed when the ball hit it at the tip.

Something happened, my finger swelled up a lot and I was barely able to move it for a few weeks, which was rather demotivating when it came to going to basketball practice again. Since you are always reaching for the ball I am sure you will be familiar with this problem if you ever play basketball.

Didn't put anything on the finger, just waited until my body took care of it by itself as soon as I could be sure that nothing was seriously broken.

So a few weeks later when I returned to practice I literally had the same thing happen again - this time on the other hand. About the same intensity, middle finger started to hurt and swell and I consulted my mom after practice who is somewhat of a modern herbal healer. I asked her for one of her oils to put on the finger and she readily recommended lavender oil.

So I started applying a few drops of high grade biological lavender oil to the finger and guess what - instead of a few weeks my finger was completely back to normal in about 3-4 days. I was amazed! And I had the luxury of comparing since the injuries were so similar in kind and intensity.

Ever since it has become my only oil that I regularly use whenever I have cuts or bruises on my body.

Step one - let the wound bleed out if it's a cut.

Step two - apply lemon juice for disinfecting if it's a cut and wait til the wound calms down a bit.

Step three - apply lavender oil, a bandaid and get some rest.

You can also apply it to mosquito bites and the like and probably a ton of other things - anything that would force your body tissue to create some sort of physical reaction has benefitted in my experience. Needless to say that you have to be the judge in your situation - if you think you need a doctor to help you you should probably go pay him a visit. But for anything related to the prolonged healing period after the immediate injury has been treated this oil does work wonders.

High grade lavender oil comes in little bottles that can easily be thrown into the backpack wherever you go and it's potency for allowing the body tissue to heal itself quickly and pleasantly is nothing short of astounding. So, if you are one of those people who get hurt a lot, or if you want to be prepared with a universal solution to rapidly speed up your body's regeneration rate do check out this magnificent plant and its essential oil.

You will not regret it.
