The Fastest Bird in the World!
Here she is, the bird of my dreams and the first time that I get one on my camera! She is a Peregrine Falcon, the largest of the falcon breed and they are estimated to strike their pray in the air at speeds of between 300 and 400 Km's per hour.
But wait! There is a bonus, she was training her youngster to hunt and as you will see, I also got him in this post!

I think she was looking at me, even though I was far away!
Great, she must have said something to her youngster, as here he is also looking at me, with his first catch of the day!
I will spare you the gory details about his breakfast, but here he has eaten and cleaned his beak.
Soon he will mature and join the adult Peregrine legends!
Peregrines are monogamous and they nest in the high cliffs. Their favored foods are birds like doves, starlings, swifts and bats. They are scarce to uncommon and are regarded as "Near threatened"
So sad to think that these magnificent birds might become extinct one day and I am so glad that I had the privilege to record a mom and her youngster!
It was indeed a great moment in my life!
