Some beautiful nature critters!
Cat on a hot tin roof. This is one of the "hunters" in our garden!
Spring season is slowly approaching here in South Africa and the gardens are awakening to the slightly warmer dawns. Tiny critters are starting to appear all over the place and a keen eye can easily pick up the changes that are starting to appear. The crows building a nest is a clear give away that the winter is now signing off and soon we will once again have an abundance of all sorts of Spring babies.
Let's have a look!
Let's start with a photo just after sunrise this morning!
A crow came over with a stick in its mouth, a sign of building a nest before Spring season starts!
"Sheesh" He said. "You again! Can't you see that I am eating here?"
Bright sun on this flying butterfly, but his shadow was terrific!
It seems that this young spider has already lost his left front leg!
Here we have a bug inside an Almond nut blossom!
And here's another bug also in the Almond nut blossoms.
This tiny bee/fly sat on a Macadamia nut tree leaf. He is about 1 millimeter long!
Ah! The little Red collared Sunbird was singing a late afternoon song!
And finally the sun said; "That's all for today folks"!
Maybe some of the shots here could possibly be good for some competitions here, but I have no idea who the hosts of the competitions are. Maybe my steemit friends, or some curators could help!
- The first photo for a #caturday contest?
- Photo no 5 for a #shadow contest?
- Photos 6,7,8 for an #insect contest?
- Photo no 9 for a #macro contest?
- Photo no 11 for a #goldenhour contest?
Maybe the photos are also suitable for some other contests?
It is time for me to get our house (blog) here in order, as Papillon needs the support and I read some post that stated after the hardfork, our income as posters might dwindle.
Everyone is nowadays on about curating efforts and I have no idea what being a curator is or means.
My speciality is the research, designing, planning and execution of charity projects to empower the poor and I dare say that by grace, our projects are successful.
Our work means the world to little poor souls and that's why I have to keep on raising support.
The secret to the project successes is merely because I have always involved other people that are specialists in their own fields to partner with us. I acknowledge that I don't know everything, in fact I am dumb in many areas such as finance, IT, fundraising and some other areas that are essential, but why should I try to re-invent the wheel if others have the experience. The credits of our work mean nothing to me and I am always happy to pass it on to those that help us.
This is why Papillon has lasted now for 18 years in tough conditions!
Hope you have enjoyed the photos and thank you for the visit to a post by @papilloncharity

These pictures of early spring and the creatures you found to include are stunning! Of course, I'm interested in the crows you have there. I had to look it up and found they are Pied crows, and what a suit they wear, huh? Very cool. Can you tell me what the little bird peering out from the tree branches is called?
Thank you my friend.
They are indeed Pied Crows and we also have the Cape Black crow.
I have posted about them before with a full description and I assumed (wrongly) that everyone should know what they are. My apologies.
The little bird is a Cape White Eye.
Blessings!
cute cat!
Cute Comment!
There's a Ginnie in the clouds.
The guy that shushes you because he's eating...what is he?
Thank you friend.
The little shusher is a Cape White Eye.
Blessings!
I thank you! You know your birds quite well :)
So much beauty in your photos. The 9 is definitely suited for a macro photography contest 😊

Thank you Sir George.
@nTOPAZ has again had to post my post, as can you believe that I can still not post in there.
I have asked @nTopaz to check if I have downloaded the correct version of the app, but they said there's a problem with #steemconnect.
When I open nTOPAZ it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to open.
Blessings!
I am sorry for the bad experience, they really should take care of these problems and you are not the only who is having them...I struggle also sometimes to open the platform.
That fly wow what a great shot!
Did you know there is a caturday discord for promotion of blogs with cats no rules ! Just cats hahahha
Just telling let me know if you want an invite
Thank you and it was a surprise to see the colors on the tiny fly.

I really love macro photography. On them you can see the smallest details of flowers ... or insects))
Thank you my friend.
I don't take macros photos often, but maybe I should look at doing more.
You are right of course, as it is so nice to see the finer details.
Blessings!
Cat on a hot tin roof, now thats a blast fromthe past, I remember seeing a screening of that classic movie a couple of decades ago,
I love that shot of the butterfly and the shadow
Glad your starting to see signs of spring ;)
I know of the shadow Contest that is hosted by @melinda010100 and had a weekly theme

Ha, do you know that you are the only one that picked up the pun on the movie "Cat on a hot tin roof" my friend.
This beautiful bugger is one of the predators that took care of the Guinea fowl babies and he is watching the garden again to check for their nests.
Thank you for your kind support with the tip JJ.
May you guys have a good Sunday.
Blessings!
I know we are not the only young at heart older food on hear that know of that movie 😂
Well I’d he is the one that took one of the Guinea fowls I hope the Tin roof is very hot for it
I hope your weekend is going well

Love your photography and your work with Papillon!
Lovely photo of the cat - almost looks like it is smiling! And it seems like things are teeming with life even if it is still winter!
Sorry I'm no help on the photo contest but if you are into Natural Medicine books @Naturalmedicine is holding their Natural Medicine Book Challenge sponsored by Curie with over 40 Steem in prizes. Details here - https://steemit.com/naturalmedicine/@naturalmedicine/share-a-natural-medicine-book-to-win-over-40-steem-sponsored-by-curie it might help get your post noticed by @curie too!
Thank you my dear friend.
It's about time that I get your name as "dear friend" is a good description, but it's not personal enough?
I am Stephen by the way and my photographic name is Zac Smith.
The natural medicine book effort sounds interesting, but it is more Marian's field. (My wife)
Would they want reviews of natural medicine books, or can one talk about the exorbitant prices of healthy foods over here?
Blessings!
They give the details of the challenge and what they are looking for in the link I gave you. I think they want more of a personal take on books that you use or if you don't have access to books you can do a write up of videos etc. Interview your wife about the place natural medicine books have in her life!
I have another idea for a fund raiser - put your photos into a book and sell them. I cna help you put them together and I have a lovely template for creating photo books and can help you get them up on Amazon and other online book stores. DM me on discord if you are interested my friend!
The strange thing here is that Marian has also asked me why I don't sell my photos. Especially as she thinks that I am just giving them away.
Maybe your idea about a photo book could be good and I will definitely DM you tomorrow my friend.
Thank you for the care and the interest.
Blessings!
