Sabah Steemian Gathering cum workshop Part 3, 4 & 5

in #teammalaysia7 years ago (edited)

Today I am going to post Part 3, 4 & 5 of the videos taken on the 6th January 2018 together

No editing was done. These are the original videos.😁

Part 3. @bitrocker2020 was talking about how to withdraw our steem dollar or STEEM into fiat money of MYR.

The withdrawal was super easy using REMITANO. You need to register with remitano here

This was what I learned after @bitrocker2020 explanation.

  1. I learned that you earn steem dollar and steem coin from stemit.

  2. Then you need to buy cryptocoin, in this example, ethereum. Why not bitcoin? Because bitcoin transaction fees is so expensive. When this video was taken, the fees was USD13.
Ethereum was very cheap and still is. Once you got your ethereum, you can transfer it to ethereum wallet.

  3. After you have bought ethereum using your steem dollar, look for peers who are online ready to buy your ethereum. The buyer normally will indicate how much ethereum they can buy and to which bank they can bank in.

  4. If you found your buyer, click and wait for the buyer to agree.

  5. Once the buyer agreed, the buyer will be given 15 minutes to transfer the fiat money into your account. You need to check your bank account repeatedly on another window of your computer. Especially if buyer claimed they have bank it in.

  6. Once you got your money inside your bank account, you need to confirm and inform the buyer that you have received the money.

  7. Don't forget to rate your experience doing business with your peer.

Wow! you can bring money from outside of your country to yours within minutes. This is indirectly helping government increasing the foreign direct investment or FDI into your country.

And overall, It has definitely increase my confidence by many folds after the explanation by @bitrocker2020 on steemit.

  1. Before all the transactions, you need an authy or google authenticator apps. Download it from play store. In part 4 video which was the shortest video, @bitrocker2020 did the explanation.

I also learned that transfering steem dollar to another fellow steemians are free of charge.

If you realise, the gathering cum workshop environment was very casual.
We were having fun. In fact that is the most important in steemit. That is to have fun.

There were also a lot of good tips.
One good tip given was to concentrate keeping STEEM rather than steem dollar. With STEEM, you have many options on what you want to do with it.

Part 5 of the video.

@bitrocker was explaining about why some post can generate more than $100.
These steemian usually have a lot of followers.
What I learned from this video:-

  1. You need to focus on increasing your follower base. There are many ways on how to increase the number of followers. Posting good quality article will definitely do the trick. The quality of your post will get better as you post more materials.

  2. Higher reputation may also attract followers. Your reputation is shown as a number in a bracket beside your username. The higher the number, the higher your reputation.

  3. Steemian would want to follow you because the trick for them to increase their reputation is by starting to follow fellow steemians with higher reputation and start engaging with them.

  4. I also learned that to increase your reputation, you need to engage with good project. In this video, we were given curie as an example. Click here

  5. Curie is a group of 700 curators who will directly submitted the post to curie. If curie said ok, they will upvoted.

  6. @bitrocker2020 who are heavily involved in it advised us to write good quality content. We can also join contest that are available such as dailyfoodcontest. Please read here and many more.

  7. We can also use whatsapp to chat with fellow steemians like what we have in Sabah called Sabah Steemians. We can also go to this link where most teammalaysia members are currently using.

So, be creative with your post. You wouldn't know that your creativity might attract the WHALES and may give you a good up votes.

Keep posting. Practice makes perfect.
I personally hope that I can post 1 or 2 creative posts everyday in the future and I hope you will too.

p/s: you may want to take notes while watching the videos.

Thanks for reading
