WILD ASPARAGUS - CENTRAL WISCONSIN
This is the first food I foraged upon my return.
This was one of the first wild edibles that I ever really enjoyed on a serious basis in my adult life. We've learned a lot since we first started eating these and have certainly broadened our foraging capabilities, but it's always great to encounter these. One of the first things we did on our recent trip to Wisconsin was to grab some delicious free food in the ditch!

These things are delicious! Just to bad these are the green ones and not the white ones...
Where I live (the Netherlands) we refer to these as the 'white gold' vegetable :P
