WHAT A PRACTICAL GIFT! - THANKS @bluerthangreen!
Recently, @bluerthangreen took a trip down to visit Jack Spirko and attend an event that he was hosting.
Among others that @bluerthangreen was able to meet at the event, he met Patrick Roehrman of MTKnives, and picked up a few "neck knives." He even bought one as a gift for me!
PRACTICAL AND HANDY!
Personally, I usually like to at least have a knife on me because they come in so handy for so many things throughout the day. Unfortunately, those "pocket knives" have a tendency to fall out of your pocket. Trust me, I have lost a lot of pocket knives in my day.
These neck knives are very interesting. For one, they conceal very nicely under your shirt and are always readily available. The case is also superb, and the knife is incredibly well crafted.
I was amazed at how sharp it not only was, but also still is. I find myself using it frequently throughout the day, and am so blessed that @bluerthangreen would purchase one for me as a present.
This is a great example of getting someone something that they can actually use too. So many "gifts" can be less than appreciated, simply because they lack practical application in the life of the recipient. I consider things like knives to be "tools" and not "weapons," especially when used properly. Trust me, I could misuse just about anything and turn it into a "weapon" if I wanted to. Want me to assault you with a cotton ball? (I'm not really threatening you, just illustrating a point.*)

Yeah that's a nice gift, for the right person. Not sure my mom could use it but both sisters could.
LOL! - Well said!
its knife your posts tell that you go to the jungle and cook most of the time so that will be very good for you ....
It could come in handy for a lot!
What beautiful details you have received dear friend@papa-pepper
You are very right, this type of product is very practical, I must admit that I have never seen this model that is to wear hanging on the neck. The truth is great. congratulations for the good gift received
I wish you a great day
Thank you @jlufer! It was a great present indeed!
I love gifts that can serve for years! Nice tool...
A very nice tool indeed!
This granny loves a good knife!
Just curious what type of release system it has? Is it just "friction"? It seems the sheath would have to be snug enough to keep the knife secured, even with movement back and forth as it would hang, yet be loose enough to be able to be drawn.
You figured it out. The sheath is formed with heat and is a type of hard plastic. The knife stays firmly in place until it is pulled out. Then it locks back into place with a "click."
Tools are the best gifts - Even a tool that you don't use very often - when I get a new tool I often look for jobs requiring its use!
LOL! - I know that feeling! Tools are the best!
Looks like it would a good thrower. Have you tried it?
Awesome gift. One that you will use for years to come. This is one mom and grandma that would use such a fine knife. I am forever losing my pocket knives. Sometimes they turn up later in the garden but most times they just disappear...
I've had a few that I found later, but so many nothing do. Hopefully this one will not end up like that!
Always share a great post, this knife gift is Awesome. thanks for sharing waiting for your next surprise sir @papa-pepper
Thank you @hassanjony, I am glad that you enjoyed it! Thanks for the encouragement!
