NEW KID ON THE BLOCK
Today is a happy day for my people!
The doe goat that @smailer and @exploretraveler donated to our homestead was actually pregnant when we picked her up, which was a surprise for us. As I suspected, she had twins, but only one made it through the delivery. As sad as that may be, at least we still have one new kid on the block!
First off, here is the happy mama, Daisy, our soon to be milk goat! And now, what you've all been waiting for.
A FEW CUTE PHOTOS
The @Little-Peppers are pretty fun and creative. Since the happy mama was already named "Daisy" they chose to call the older buck "Crockett." It's a variation of "Davy Crockett," but then they took things further and chose to name this young buckling "King," because that was the next word in the song. LOL!
HAPPY FAMILY!!!
Moments like this make me so grateful for the lifestyle that we have chosen. To see such joy on the face of my children is a huge blessing, and I'm glad that they get to take part in the wonderful miracle of life. What better way to appreciate it than with a new goat!
As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:
Until next time…

Congratulations on the newbie...
Papa if im ever in your area I need to come see your farm. With all these adorable baby animals you should open up a petting zoo :)
Please do!
a baby buck?
CABRITO!!!!
I imagine you've already discovered the smelly downside of bucks.
wether you intend to keep it or not that's something to consider.
Right!
He’s so cute and the kids seem to adore him! Congratulations on the new addition!
That is what makes family so special. Goats are funny like Oatmeal.
Exactly like oatmeal!
They really do!
Congratulations on the cute new goat 🐐
Thank you @brianvigeant!
living for you papa interacting with animals is fun, seeing them grow in our pets makes us happy enough. Although different types but the animals we maintain can make us love him like family. I used to keep goats in my junior high school but my favorite goats had to die because of human poison because I kept them. He was poisoned into a neighbor's garden
very nice shots to look at. both the animal and the kids look super cute and the way you structure your blog is also great. gonna follow you that's for sure. have a good one! :)
Yaaaay!!
Finally here comes the new kid...beautiful!!
The smiles on your children's faces are priceless...many in our world pay a fortune just to taste such hapiness..
Welcome King!!

That was one of my favorite movies when I was growing up. We watched the one with Fess Parker. I didn't even have to look that up. Knew it because we watched it so many times. Congrats on the new kid!
Glad to bring back some memories.
