MY FIRST DEER WITH A CROSSBOW!
It worked! I was successful! And it tasted excellent!
Recently, I picked up a crossbow in order to extend my hunting season. Today, I took a walk into the woods to see if I could test it out. After seeing one deer and firing one shot, my bolt was broken in half and the deer was dead.
Rather than sitting up in a deer stand all day, I prefer stalking the deer in the woods midday. So far, it has worked out very well. In this video I share about my experience and success, and look forward to our venison dinner on the fire. (by the way, it was delicious.)

Good idea picking up a crossbow to extend the hunting season.
Now more peppers will be fed longer without feeding the mega-food-corps.
You might really like a bow for hunting. Just saying, you look like the type.
But, the crossbows of today are really sweet machines.
I agree with you, for you, stalking the deer is much better. You have a feel for the land. You know how critters move. You know where they go. Go find em. Far easier than spending all day crouching.
yup, they always know when the season starts. Dude, going out midday for a half hour and popping a deer midday is pretty fricking awesome! I have been thinking of harvesting some squirrels as there are a ton of them this year due to a lot of acorns, do you have any squirrel videos? I would like to learn any more midday stalking tricks. I have tried the other approach many times and had zero luck thus far for deer.

The cross bow looks very high tech! I had a friend that hunted like you do. He'd go into the woods and walk around in the middle of the day and come out with a deer every time!
Nice job, I never ended up bow hunting, just firearm.
Cleaning a deer is a lot of work!
