GETTING OUTSMARTED BY THE NEXT GENERATION
As a father, stuff like this is very encouraging to see.
Time and time again I'm impressed by my @little-peppers. They must have picked something up from somewhere, because they sure are getting the hang of this thing called life. Not only that, they are often choosing to do things wisely. One of my favorite things recently is that when I am working and putting things into a bucket, often the bucket is far away. I have walked over to it repeatedly, only to return empty handed and then repeat the process. On multiple occasions "Monster Truck the Pepper" and now "Pinkie-Pepper" too have moved the bucket next to me. They are so smart! LOL!
FILLING THE "DUCK POND"
Today when we went out to do chores, the "duck pond" was already full. Since they like to bathe in this kiddie pool, and sometimes even defecate in it, it can be a chore to keep clean. One day we plan on building them a real pond with some fish in it, but for now, a kiddie pool it is. Basically, because it is so small, we have to change the water out daily, since they not only swim in it, but drink from it as well.
Last night, the @little-peppers were doing their chores in a light rain. More rain was to come, and they knew it. Pinkie-Pepper suggested to Red-Pepper that they move the kiddie pool next to this small building, where some rabbits are kept. She figured that runoff from the rain could both wash and fill the pool for the ducks. This is why is was clean and full already when we got there this morning!
Stiff like this is such a blessing. Just like with moving the bucket, moving the pool saved us precious time and energy. I'm all about trying to work smarter and not harder, but I don't always succeed. Thankfully, these smart @little-peppers are there to help me out and show me a better way! Thanks children!

Hilarious! If you make a sign some day I would love to see it. When my brother and I were very young, we used to sneak downstairs to watch Benny Hill. My dad would have killed us if he had caought us! The fact i am writing this is proof he didn’t catch us.
Anyway Benny Hill had a new place and they were trying to think of a name. He said, “How about passing wind?” You know with that British accent. Then he smile an said, “I like passing wind!”
Excellent idea of @little-peppers took advantage of the rain and came up with the idea of moving the picsina for children near the small building and thus take advantage of the runoff from the rain, sometimes children have better ideas than us hahahha. Beautiful ducks, in the farm of my family we have 5, they also have a small picsina where they bathe and drink water, also we must always clean it because they defecate, but they are beautiful animals. Muscovies? Descended from a wood duck supposedly. Quietest duck there is allegedly, but also very possessive - good guard ducks. As to the kids outsmarting you - would you have it any other way?
