BEST BACK-SCRATCHER EVER

in #creative6 years ago

Some time back, I noticed a cow rib with "Montana Back Scratcher" painted on it at a friend's house, but I didn't realize how well it actually worked.

While walking in a local creek, we found our own cow rib and I intended on grinding it up as a soil amendment, but I gave it a try as a back scratcher first. Long story short, this bone will not be used in the garden, it'll be my new best friend instead.

LOL - Careful with that. If we get too much interest we may have to decrease the local cow population.

Scratching the back can be addicting. Feels good even when it's not itchy. So far, my favorite has to be the nail puller end of a hammer. Forks work well, too.

The backwards hammer sounds good too. I really like the reach of this one!

I was gifted a buffalo rib back scratcher by indigenous elders in South Dakota from the Chyanne River Souix

Wow, that sounds amazing. How do you like it?

I loved it.

I have since passed it along to a less limber relative.

A gift that keeps on giving... I respect that.

No kidding? That looks like it hurts.

Not after I'm done scratching it, LOL!

Oh so just before? Half the pain hahah

Brings back memories I had forgotten, MY uncle who had a farm we used to often visit had a Cow rib which he used for back Scratching, I never got to try it he was very possessive off it i, it was out of bounds for anyone else to touch

Wow! I might have to get more possessive of mine too!

LOL, I did find one on the farm that was great for me when I was about 7, sadly I grew out of it

That's funny! It wouldn't have been a cow rib, would it? Wouldn't it more likely be a deer rib or something? Regardless, that's very resourceful. Do you boil them or anything to sanitize them?

A neighbor lost a lot of cows a few years back, and this is probably part of the remains of one of them. Deer ribs are much smaller.

good thinking outside the square, and there is nothing like a good back scratch.
